Pax ran. He didn't know why he was running, just kind of was. He was outside of town so nobody would see him. He had a notepad and pencil and was ready to draw. He was going to try to get to a secluded place so he could practice his powers without people thinking he was a freak. That would suck.
Pax finally found a little meadow and settled down at the edge of it. He started to sketch and as he went he added something new in with the things he had already drawn. By the time he was done it looked like the best weapon he had ever seen. It was a simple sword with a cool design on it. He had drawn floating orbs of elements around it and hoped that they worked the way he wanted them to.
He reached into the page, litterally, he reached into it. The page rippled like water and he grabbed hold of the hilt. He felt the posh leather on it as if it was real. It was real. He withdrew his hand and the sword came with it, it took shape and became real. The orbs however stayed on the page. He sighed. It seemed the drawing was being difficult.
Pax shook the page and the orbs fell out like marbles. He realized he'd need something to hold all of this in and sketched a fancy hilt and sack to hold the sword and orbs in. He pulled those out too and gathered up the orbs. He debated wich one he should try first. The fire one seemed pretty cool.
Pax put the other orbs into the sack and then slipped the fire on into a small indentation on the hilt of the sword. At first there was nothing. Pax sighed. Looked like it hadn't worked. Oh well he could still use it as a normal sword. He swung it once and suddenly the blade turned to fire and was almost like a whip. He dropped the sword and the fire instantly dissapeared. Awesome.
Pax spent the next hour testing out the orbs. The light orb turned everything around him lighter and any shadow dissapeared, the water or b had the same effect as the fire one, but with water, the shadow one sucked the color out of everything and almost seemed to take the sun away from the surrounding areas. And those were just a few. Pax had drawn about a dozen or more orbs. He'd like to see somebody attack him now.

Lush rolling hills, flowers of every variety. Giant balls of doughy white cotton that helped to make up the sky and it'ss blue canvas. She had been watching from afar, in a small ditch that had become overgrown with weeds, heather, and barley. The tall plants gave of a sweet frgrance to that of honey and bread. It made her tired, but she refused to sleep, even under these circumstances. In her lap, a large drawing notebook lay, her famously known psintngs and drawings had gotten her far. Art was all she knew, and wwhen sshe said aol, she meant it literally. Shiina Mashiro, 16 years of age, a famous artist all around. She had come from the cocountry of Europe to continue her school work and study of the arts. But maybe, her staff back in England were just tired of taking care of her. Mashiro crossed her legs, a pencil in her hand just as the boy across the field had. It seemed that he enjoyed art in a jore, realistic way. Her red amber eyes scurried across the page as she finished the scene. A fine boy with glossy rosy hair and fiery blue eyes, slightly tanned. But the most magnificent thing about the drawing was the sword, flying orbs of light, each one emitting a different sort of power. He was a magic being, there was no other way of putting it. As soon as sshe saw him reach into the paper, she guessed it. And Mashiro had refused to run as well. That was rude and pretty cruel seing as he was pretty normal. Her drawing was pretty good too, seeing a boy hold a majestic weapon of dertain destruction. It would make a wonderful manga. She needed ideas anyways. Her deadline was appoaching at a rapid pac and the girl had yet even inform them of a title. She lowered her head, clasping her hands around the paper and pencils. This could not and would not, go unseen, she needed help with this. Leveling herself off the ground, she stood with a proud sort of aura. Mashiro walked towards the boy from the drawing, a way of approach firmly planted. "Hello there." She said, her eyes partially evacuated of emotion.

At the sound of a voice Pax jumped a little bit. He hadn't realized the girl there, even though he should have. He should have looked around, but he had just started drawing. Pax kicked himself mentally for being so careless. He sighed and then looked up to see a girl he didn't know. He smiled then. All the easier for him.
Pax stood up. He was easily taller than her, as he was taller than most. Pax dipped into a way to formal bow and smiled at her. Pax decided he'd be nice to her and then try to talk her out of telling anybody about what he could do. She seemed like she was a nice person, or at least nice enough.
"Hey. My name's Paxam, but you could call me Pax. May I ask for your name miss?" He said with a smile. He wasn't entirely sure what to do or how to explain what he had been doing. He wanted to just walk away and pretend like it had never ever happened. He was definatly keeping the epic sword though.

He walked over, she watched him do a bow and she instinctively did a curtsy as well. Damn it, she was supposed have stopped that when she moved here. But she smiled back and extended a gentle hand. "Nice to make your acquaintance Pax, an interesting name. Originate from somewhere?" She held the drawing by her side, her other hand still extended in a form of a handshake. It was basic courtesy to all people she met. Mashiro then mentall facepalmed, where were her manners? "I'm Shiina. I've been watching you," her face grew warm with embarrassment. Great, she was a freak and a stalker. "But I wanted to ask you something." She said waiting with a serene expression.

Pax thought about his name. From what he knew it was just a random name that his mother had thought up all those years ago. There was no special meaning as of what he knew. Pax shook her head as she said her name and told him that she had been watching him. He saw her face go red and chuckled. When she said that she wanted to ask him something he nodded. "Shoot." He told her, as it, tell him the question.
Pax wondered what she might want to ask him. He saw the notepad at her side out of the edge of his vision and wondered if she had been writing down what he had been doing. He didn't let his worry show on his face as to not make her think that he was worried and waited for her question.

She took a deep breath, preparing for even the worse case scenario. If he hated it, so be it, she had other ideas. She shuffled in place and brought up the pad. She held it out, preparing still. "I drew you and I wanted some criticism." She thought she did pretty good. He had been a good test subject, not very quick and not at all jumpy. It was a good sign that she could let down her guard. "You can look through it." Besides the first, there were ither oages of him in different stances and forms, even close ups with dialouge. She was a growing seed in the ways of art. They shared it, so why not be a fellow friend? Shiina smiled brightly, waiting for critic. "I'm an artist as well." She added.

Pax smiled as she held out the notebook and it showed that it wasn't actualy notes, but instead drawongs. He smiled and looked through a few of them. They all looked really nice, he thought that they were even as good as his. He noticed how she drawn a few with words that he was saying on them, although he hadn't said a single thing through out the whole thing he just guessed that she had written in that part.
Pax handed her back her book with a smile on his face. "I like them." He said simply. He did indeed like them. He didn't even really want her to get rid of them. He didn't mind all too much, although he still kicked himself for not noticing her earlier. Pax opened his notepad and looked for a page that wasn't epty, as most were. There was a picture of an image of what his mother might look like. He handed it over to her for her to look at.

She clapped her hands together, happy for anyone's approval. "Thanks, I do scenery usually." She commented, shuffling her feet again. She wasn't shy, but rather a pretty serious character. Shiina looked back at the sword, she wouldn't comment about it, but she couldn't help but admire it. She was almost a bit jealous that he could make such a thing. If she had that power.... Eh, it'd like normal, she'd never go hungry again. She smiled at that. A funny moment for her, zoning out in her thoughts. She barely recognized him when he in return, handed her his own work. Not one to be rude she began flipping theough them, they were good, good enough to where she might have a rival. "You could work on anatomy a bit, but it's pretty detailed. You could try mixing styles for a lack of muse if you ever get stuck in a rut." Shiina liked to critic. She sat down, wraping her arms around her legs, "So why are you at here Pax?" She still thought it was an od name. It felt foreign on her tongue and was a bit awkward in her mouth.

Scenery. pax had never tried drawing scenery. He liked to draw objects and people more than anything. He decided that he'd have to try drawing a landscape at sometime. Eventually he would get good at that too with practice. When she comented on his drawing he nodded. As of now he wasn't too worried about his style, but change was nice every once and a while.
When she sat down Pax debated sitting down with her, but he just stood instead. He liked it better standing. Why was he here? It was a strange question. Here as in the meadow, or here as in Haranato? He decided the meadow was an easier thing to answer. "I don't like showing people my power so I came her for some privacy." He told her truthfully.

She curled her fingers around her legs, her red eyes trained on his blue ones. She had yet to meet a decent individual in this quaint little town, most people had been rather ignorant of her. A small chilled breeze swept through, carrying with it an array of pollen and even a few of these fuzzy seeds that you could make a wish on. The plains was a nice place after all, why would anyone not come here? Privacy. "Oops.." A red tinge accompanied her fair complexion, again, embarrassed by her fault. She shoud have guessed that. If she had any sort of power, well, she'd keep it hidden as well. She lowered her head, scolding herself as she bit her tongue. With a jolt of pain, she let it go and looked back up. "I'm sorry Pax, I promise I won't tell anyone." She said. Then, as if to ensure her promise, she held up her hand, her pinky held out. It was a childish thing yes, but it for some reason, still held value in her eyes.

Pax heard her say oops and frowned a little bit. He realized that he had kind of implied that he didn't want her to be here. He felt bad now. he hadn't meant that and he hoped that she knew that. He was actually having fun talking to her. Then she was appologizing and saying that she wouldn't tell anybody. Now Pax felt even worse for saying that. He was about to say something else when he saw Shiina's hand held up with the pinky out.
If anybody has ever been a kid they must have done this at least once. Pinky promise. He laughed and took hold of her pinky with his. "Thank you." He said to her. He sat down across to her now and smiled at her. "So what do you want to talk about?" He had no idea, but he wanted to know stuff about her. Maybe even get a friend of some sort.

With a sense of relief at being forgiven she supported her head with her palms as she relaxed in the lush grass. She nodded to him as he sat down across from her. She could not helpd bu feel transfixed by his odd looks, his dark maroon hair that seemed to rivals her eyes. It was a person she could draw with perfection everytime, a perfect picture. Besides, all good art started with a good model. She glanced at her notepad, the stance of him whipping the sword with a fiery mean. "Um, how about ourself. Just giving facts." She said gesturing to herself and then to him. They were off to a wondeful start, she wasn't blind enough to where she couldn't sense a friendship. "I'm from England." She said with a matter a fact sort of tone.

Pax tried to think of something he could tell her about him. She had told him that she was from England. That was actually pretty cool. He had never met anybody from England. "I find it pretty cool that your from England. I've lived here my whole life, so there's nothing special about that." He said. He didn't really know what else to tell her about him.
[lazy sorry.]

(It's fine, I'm getting tired anyways) She smiled with satisfaction, "It's alright. Just a bunch of old, dusty buildings, theres never anything good to eat and the people there are as dirty as the town." She said explaining it like nothing. "I like this place a lot better. So, lived here all your life? Tell me, knew anyone in all your time?" She didn't mention who she knew. Mashiro new people from all over, but she hated talking about it, she was no bigshot.
