Jay had glanced about the building. For some reason, he was expecting something larger, but he hadn't seen this as a bad thing. He liked small. Big was just a liability issue, he thought.
"Indeed! Wonderful," he said, following her into the building and standing there calmly as she rang the bell, though he smiled as he did. I am most content with this.
[/i] "Oh yes. Nice is what they are!" he said at last, as the dark and seemingly older man had come to greet them both. Jay politely smiled and extended his hand out to meet the man's own. "Jay Foxton. A pleasure to meet you." he said. His handshake was firm, though probably not as firm as the other man's own. He released his hand and nodded to Shiver. "Indeed. To register," said Jay with a chuckle. Funny man, he thought. Jay watched as the man went to fetch the keys and the papers, and Jay grabbed for his very own navy blue pen. What an odd obsession he had with the colour. He loved it. It reminded him of home. Jay had taken the papers with a smile and had moved his pen to sign his name in a rather fancy sort of cursive on both of the papers. 'Jay Foxton', and when he was done, he had placed the navy blue pen back into his pocket and had given the papers to mister Tulear, still with that smile that he wore so much. And like that...[/b] The boy truly was a selfless figure, though he thought nothing of it. He was in it for the good-- the ability to make people feel as content as he almost always is. -Almost-.[/blockquote]

Mr. Tulear took the papers and gave a respective nod, returning to his desk to stamp both papers before storing them neatly in a manila folder. Being organized, the man stored the envelope in a file cabinet for later use and registration issues, though Shiver doubted there woukd be any. Jay seemed like the guy who took great care in his promises. Shiver gave the man a friendly hug in which the dark man returned with a gentle pat on the back. She likes him, he was a good friend to her and welcomed her with great friendliness when she stumbled in. Leaning in close to her companion, she whispered into Jay's ear, "If you ever hace any financial issues, me or Mr. Tukear will help out, think of it as a welcome gift if you ever need it." She spoke with genuine truth. Shiver wasn't Ms. Money Bags, but she would always help a fellow guy in need. She tugged lightly on his scarf, gently pulling him out of the building where a cool breeze chilled her cheeks. From the dim streetlights and the dark trees, the shadiws they produced were like a net over the neighborhood. "This town is breathtaking." She mumbled incoherently. It was just a thought, a passing mind fart with absolutely no real meaning besides it's literal definition. Jolting out of her momentary fantasy, she shifted feet, warming her cild feet. The girl faced her companion with an equally bright grin, "So wan to check out your place or head to mine. Or if you'd like to save time we can split and meet up in say," she paused to come up with a reasonable time, "one hour say." She finished giving a mental at on the back.

Jay never was a rich fellow, either. His clothes were a little more pricey than most, but never too high of class, either. He had never thought of himself as an expensive fellow, even though he preferred to spend a bunch on scarves, which he wore regardless of season.
The boy had smiled as Mister Tulear had put the file into his cabinet, sure that he had his priorities and that regardless of his relationship with Shiver, he'd always do his job. Though he wasn't expecting Shiver to hug Tulear, his cheeks couldn't do anything but flush. And a nice man, too. The folk here are terrific. Now I'm not so sure about how long I'll stay, he thought, causing a smile. He heard Shiver's whisper and returned a nod. "Most wonderful to know."
And again, he was caught off guard. His scarf had been pulled lightly and Jay had chuckled because of this as he was 'dragged along', out of the building and into the breeze. What a perfect day to wear a hat, [/b] he thought to himself, looking about as he moved with Shiver. He couldn't help but agree with the girl. The place was beautiful. Nobody in their sane state of mind would dare disagree, save for his mother-- His thought was interrupted, which he was glad about. With the thought only came sadness. He turned to shiver and with a tug on his scarf had shrugged. "I would like you to make the decision, Shiver. Mum always told me to consider others before myself!" he said, and had glanced into her eyes-- not like the other times, but truly had looked into them. What beauty had been present? He wasn't expecting it. Colours like that of the sun and the sea each separate but both equally unique. Something was special about her. But what?[/b] He had pulled himself away and tugged uselessly at his scarf again. "Your eyes truly are wondrous, miss Shiver. I had a feeling you were a special one, you know." "Not to sound creepy, or anything," he said with his gaze turning upward. ((Say, what time is it for them?))[/blockquote]

Shiver nodded, understandingly. Morals, they were the heart and soul of every person. Her own morals as well were pretty strict. The rules that duel out every mind battle every living beings ever had, to find the answer to what is right, and was is wrong. But she'd be lying if she said she was aright with his answer. Being a decisive gal, she really was in a pickle. Shiver too, liked to put other's wellfare and well-being before her own. She thought about his tiem limits as well as her own when she found the answer. "We can stop by your place first. I myself am curious as to what we can do with your place." She rubbed her hands, images if blank walls and floors with nary a combination of decoration to its name. She anticipated all the ideas, but, when she looked back to Jay, she fund his dark eyes staring into her's. Shiver could just see herself reflected in a million shade's of red, growing even darker when she heard him. She knew it was a compliment, but being where she was raised and all, there were never any compliments regarding herself. "My eyes?" She felt herself say aloud when she meant it to be in her thoughts alone. She shived her gaze downwards as he reguarded her as 'special.' Her eyes dared gkance at him, hisown eyes were look up, avoiding her's. Not surprising. "Thanks." She said with a small smirk.

Jay had turned his gaze back to Shiver and had smiled. He was largely indecisive. Decisions were best left to those more qualified, and he hated being left in the spot to choose, anyways. It was just horrible to imagine making a decision about something-- anything-- and it being the wrong one.
"That's a good idea, I think. Very well... but, wait, do you know where the place is?" he asked, head turned a bit to the side with his eyes darting all about the area, and yes, even onto Shiver.
"I really meant it when I said it, by the way. But one should know to not invade another's comfort zone. Do you understand?" he asked, though he did it quietly.
Eyes are eyes, but this was an unusual case- though not in a bad way. It's unique to have different colored eyes. One could only wonder if Shiver knew it.

Snapping out of a momentary zone out, she looked at Jay, actually looked. "You mean an address." She assumed with an inquisitive glance. Well, she leaned closer, looking at the key in his hand. "It's right there." She said looking at a small street name and a number engraved into the key's metal boundaries. Shiver gave a small point to indicate the small engravement. She looked back, straightening her spine. Getting the kink out in her lower back, she found Jay talking about her and something about a comfort zone. "I'm not uncomfortable if that's what you mean, quite the opposite in reality. But, I do understand what your saying completely." She never pointed out the obvious. Like when someone dropped something; first reaction is to help, not point out what has already happened. Humans were disgusting, save for a few like Mr. Tulear and Jay. Or, perhaps she had miscalculated and he was not a human at all, but maybe she was just thinking too much. But even so, they were cruel and ignorant. Either killing, murdering their own, it was getting hard to find an innocent soul nowadays.Shiver was no exception either, on occasion she herself has neglected people and instead ran. It was instinct as of now, fight or flight were the usual options. She hoped to change.
Presuming she knew which street to go down, she went to the role of leader and pulled lightly in his scarf once more. It was a gentle pull, almost like a dog and their master, only that definitely was not the case. But she liked it actually, going on alone made her feel separated and alone, rather than with everyone; at least when she touched smething she had a connection, whether it was physical or mental. There was nothing else besides that want, just the need for company.

Jay peered at the girl curiously, and then down to the key, and back up again. "Oh... right. Sorry. I am not the best with addresses." he said, forcing a smile over his face.
I fear I have angered her. Hrm.
[/b] He was about to speak again, but Shiver had commented, and he held his tongue to hear her. When she was done, he nodded. "Strangers aren't always so kind as I am, I fear, so I thought I'd just have you know, is all." he added. Jay never did trust many strangers, though Shiver was the exception, for some reason. Perhaps it's because he felt that she was in a similar situation? Maybe she was new here, as well. Her attire was odd, but he thought nothing of it. A person's privacy is her own. He stood there, waiting for something to happen until Shiver grabbed a hold of his scarf, causing him to -legitimately- smile as he was lightly pulled along, which he allowed. Jay hadn't viewed it as an animal to their master. He thought it normal, but that may be because Jay has never had a pet, before. He wouldn't have been insulted if Shiver meant it to be like that, though. He went with her with no complaints, but only a thought of her outfit and her eyes. Nothing so different has ever been placed before Jay, but he liked it. Most Humans were dull and hardly any different than the last, but her... he knew she was special.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

[oh stop it , just kidding. I'm at the library, so I won't make this too long.] "Oh, it's fine." She said waving a hand dissmissively at the reply. Shiver was not one to really get angry, if she did, it wouldn't be some tremendous overload of fury. Maybe just a pout. The girl dropped the scarf, feeling the habit was starting to become unnessecary. Besides, they were almost there. She looked down the street at the row upon rows of houses. The streetlights provided minimum visibility to the area. Even so, she could tell from here which one it was. Maybe it was the feel of the atmosphere, but she just sensed it. "There."

((Hey, I understand ^.^)) Jay couldn't help but smirk once his scarf was released. His scarf was getting a tad tight. But Jay didn't breathe, so he had no reason to protest. One can not asphyxiate that which is not breathing.
The boy could not hold much anger within himself. It was impossible. He was taught to be kind and forgive people, as none are perfect. He followed closely, trusting Shiver's sense of direction and knowledge of the area, so he had no reason to feel afraid.
There were many houses, he noticed. How will she know the right one? [/b] he thought with an odd glance and a raised brow down the street, caring to give a bit of a gaze to the lights which were so very dim and lit so very little. He watched her to make sure she didn't fall over anything, as she seemed a bit preoccupied and that the lighting was very weak until she had noted the spot. Jay looked up with a smile. "After you, miss Shiver."[/blockquote]

Please let this be it... she sent many silent prayers like that up into the sky. She did have much of a religion, but whatever force helped human kind and the like, that was who it was for. Of course, it wasn't a very legitimate prayer, unless you counted not wanting to make a fool of yourself in front of a potentially good friend. Shoving those aside, she walked around almost hesitantly, thing was, she wasn't sure, she was 99% she had the street right. She was 75% sure that the number on the key matched the house number. Racking her brain for anything else she could recall. Even in the dim light, she could tell what was what, call it whatever you like, but she could see pretty well, even in dark environments, but it usually gave her a headache when she wandered around too long. "It's no problem. I'm sure you would have done the same for me." She answered with a glance back. She led the way up to the porch, the porch light failed to recognize the movement and remained in shadows. She glanced in through one of the winds, there were no drapes seeming as the place was empty. She dared let go of her breath, so, the place was empty. Thank you. She opened the door, of course, it wouldn't be locked. Mr. Tulear didn't fear robbers as there was nothing in the apartment but a love-seat, a small table in the dining room and a coffee table in front of the couch. But that was all she could see from where she stood. There were probably kitchen appliances as well as a bed in the places not visible to her. Another reason it wasn't locked was because, being in a highly populate area, people kept a check on things; video cameras, motion sensors, cameras, anything you could think of. It was virtually impossible to break into. "so, here we are. She said sweeping her arms up in an attempt of emphasis.
